Re-announcement: Local Impact Manager (Kyrgyz Republic)

AKF is seeking to hire a Local Impact Manager for the AKF and USAID jointly-funded Local Impact Leader with Associate (LWA) award.

Qualification requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Management, International Relations or Development, or related field;
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant financial grants management experience on international development proposals and projects, with a minimum of 3 years of experience leading program management of USAID-funded awards;
- Experience with program start-up and planning, ideally with USAID projects, and particularly with Leader with Associate Awards would be an asset;
- Understanding of and experience with applying USAID rules and regulations for US and non-US NGOs;
- Experience developing trainings, tools, templates, guidelines and operating procedures for USAID programs;
- Skilled at turning human insights into concrete design concepts and demonstrated experience contributing to business development efforts including development of proposals, budgets and other application components;
- Experience and familiarity with adaptive programming and budgeting;
- Experience and commitment to promoting gender equality within organizations and within development programs;
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, uncertain environments and resolve problems effectively and quickly;
- Experience managing and leading capacity building initiatives;
- Experience in Central Asia preferred, with ability to travel internationally, including to Afghanistan;
- Demonstrated written, presentation, communication, and organizational skills in English and Russian; Kyrgyz will be an asset;
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 suite.

Обязанности:

Duties:

- Project Scoping. Identify opportunities and write design proposals in close collaboration with local teams based on internal priorities and USAID mission.
- Design Planning. Support the team in planning design processes, methods and tools to use. Create research plans, identify the right questions to ask, and collaborate with other designers to find creative ways to answer them.
- Design Facilitation and Consulting. Support the projects and teams in conducting design processes and workshops. Prepare and facilitate workshops to move the design work forward.
- Design Research. Employ a variety of traditional and non-traditional research methods, including creating research plans, conducting interviews and focus groups, shadowing participants, participatory observations, expert interviews, empathy building.
- Synthesis. Bring together learnings from design processes by leading the discussion of data collected in the field (a process we call synthesis). This will include debriefing and discussing user feedback with your teams—collaborating to turn research into potential directions for design.
- Prototype. Support design teams to build prototypes and test solutions with target audiences to collect feedback and iterate on solutions.
- Capacity development. Conduct workshops and learning experiences to build design capacity of local teams and stakeholders.
- Document. Creating design playbooks, resources and other assets.
Present. Clearly communicate complex concepts to a variety of audiences.
- Project Management. Support country offices and initiatives and facilitate workplan requirements and deliverables.
- Backstopping. Serve as a back-stop to fill gaps when needed.
- Reporting. Support in the overall report collection, consolidation, editing and feedback.
- Other duties as assigned.
